About Karnataka Badami Alphonso
Often called the 'Alphonso of the South', the Karnataka Badami is sourced from the mango belt of Ramanagara district. It shares the fibre-free texture of its Ratnagiri cousin but has a subtly different sweetness profile — slightly less intense, with a clean, refreshing finish. Our box contains 13 carefully graded Badami mangoes.
🌾 Ripening Method
Natural farm ripening. No chemicals.
🌸 Aroma Profile
Rich, sweet, mildly floral
✋ Texture
Smooth, fibre-free, slightly firmer than Ratnagiri Alphonso
Why Buy Karnataka Badami Alphonso from Pure Aam?
Most mangoes sold in Indian markets — even those labelled as Alphonso — arrive through a chain of APMC wholesalers, cold storage facilities, and local distributors. Each step adds days of transit, during which calcium carbide is routinely applied to ensure uniform ripening on arrival. FSSAI has banned carbide use but enforcement is limited.
Pure Aam sources Karnataka Badami Alphonso directly from GI-registered orchard families in Ramanagara, Karnataka. We bypass every middleman. Your box travels from the farm to our ripening unit, where traditional hay and wood-shaving ripening takes 48–72 hours, and then directly to you by overnight courier. No cold storage delays. No carbide. No compromise.
When you open a Pure Aam box, the room fills with fragrance before you even see the fruit. That aroma is linalool — a naturally occurring aromatic compound that only develops in properly ripened Ratnagiri Alphonso. It is the clearest indicator of authenticity, and you cannot fake it.
Customer Reviews
“Sceptical about ordering mangos online but these exceeded every expectation. Zero fibre, perfectly ripe, arrived next day.”
